Born and raised - that's what they say, right? Megan was an Iowan from the start; she grew up in Bellevue (a small river town located just South of Dubuque). After high school, she attented the University of Iowa, where she graduated in May 2008 with her BA in both Journalism & Mass Communication and International Studies.
Immediately after graduation, Megan packed her bags and moved New York City with hopes of jumpstarting her professional career. Since moving to the Big Apple, Megan's done much more than just find a job. She's constantly learning, not only about the professional world, but also about society in general.
For the time being, Megan is content with discovering the tremendous - yet small - city of New York - a job she says will never be complete. Megan loves meeting new people and hearing their stories. In addition, she enjoys reading, running, trying new foods, and catching up with old friends (just to name a few).
She also enjoys spending time with her family; despite living states apart, Megan has never felt closer to her two sisters, parents, or dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Megan recently added to the family and is currently testing her motherly instincts as the new owner of an itty-bitty Yorkie-Poo (Gabby) - a task that's proved more difficult that she imagined. However, despite the puppy's tendancy to chew on any and all things accessible, Megan's enjoying the challenges and entertainment Gabby presents.
Megan also enjoys Mexican food (she considers both salsa and avocado to be dietary staples), fall weather and good music. Her favorite band? U2 - no questions asked (although Billy Joel could give Bono a run for his money...)
