Paul Thomson is a member of the law firm of
Michie Hamlett Lowry Rasmussen & Tweel PLLC. Paul is able to bring
his unique experience as a former insurance company adjuster coupled
with over 13 years experience representing injured persons. After
leaving a major insurance company as a senior claims representative,
Paul attended law school, where he graduated with honors and was a
member of the prestigious law review.
Paul
does not represent insurance companies or corporations: he is dedicated
solely to the representation of the injured victim or their family. For
the last 13 years, Paul has dedicated his practice to only representing
those persons, or the families of persons throughout Virginia and West
Virginia, who have received catastrophic or life ending injuries
arising from workplace accidents, tractor trailer accidents, defective
and unsafe products, medical negligence or malpractice, nursing home
and assisted living facility abuse, sexual molestation, and dangerous
premises or property.
Paul has handled such
diverse cases as injuries or deaths caused by defective and dangerous
cribs, defective and dangerous stoves, defective and dangerous blow
torches, dangerous and defective hose clamps, dangerous and defective
automobiles, including roof crush and defective airbags; dangerous and
defective motorcycles, dangerous and defective bulldozers, dangerous
and defective towing equipment, dangerous and defective tire repair
patch kits, defective skid steer loaders, defective medical devices or
implants, defective elevators, trucking and car accidents, bad
surgeries, poor care or supervision at nursing homes, assisted living
facilities and daycares, with injuries ranging from paralysis,
blindness, severe burns, and brain injury to death.
Paul
is licensed in Virginia and West Virginia, and has tried cases in both
states. A significant number of his cases are referred from lawyers all
over Virginia, and many other states, so referrals or requests for
association from other attorneys are welcomed.
