Rex lives in the country and enjoys nature. He raced motocross most of his life and still rides for pleasure on his track at the house, but no more racing. Rex is married to the former Isabel Amaro and both graduated from Victoria Stroman High School in 1972. Rex was on the Board of Citizen's Medical Center for 8 years, and is an active Director of the Texas Trial Lawyer's Association.
