Sach is a board member for HOPE, Helping Oncology Patients Excel. Cancer creates unforeseen financial burdens for patients, particularly those who endure prolonged periods of treatment. HOPE seeks to alleviate the costs associated with prescription medications by connecting patients in Northwest Arkansas with company-sponsored assistance programs, referring patients to support programs and through direct financial assistance given by HOPE to patients in need. HOPE also offers program that offer emotional support because cancer often leaves patients confused, scared, overwhelmed, and sad. Clinical trials hold the key to breakthroughs in the treatment of and prevention of cancer. Currently, HOPE serves as Northwest Arkansas’ only site management organization, assisting local doctors with the development and management of cancer clinical trials.
