A comment on I was hurt in a car wreck. What's my claim worth?

Joe Crumbly, InjuryBoard attorney at Mike Bryant's firm in St. Cloud, MN tells an engaging story about a client of his who had a nasty connective tissue injury from an accident. She used to make beautiful pisanki (those beautifully hand-painted Ukranian Easter eggs). But after her accident she couldn't create that beauty any more. The before and after eggs were all the jury needed to see.

Mike/Wayne: Thanks for your comments. It's odd how we do this work day-in-and-day-out, without ever explaining the nuts and bolts to folks. I hope somebody benefits from the discussion. Regards, - Ward

A comment on Escalator Catastrophe Frames Tort Reform Debate for Alaskans

Zack:

Yes, all of the news coverage on this topic indicates that this escalator did not have an emergency shut-off mechanism triggered by a sensor which can detect when something (like a jacket) is sucked into the machinery.

That is what I mean by a safer escalator.
