I'm not that concerned, if the exception were to work, because such acts are either negligent or deliberate. There is no other description for wrongful acts - careless or on purpose.
Both have to pay and pay BIG!

They understaff so they can pay their CEOs millions of dollars in pay and bonus'. I sued Sun Healthcare Group Inc after we pleaded with the CEO for help with undestaffing that caused deaths. The CEO, Richad K Matros, was obstinate because he'd attempted to have a family member who was a whistleblower evicted by the State, that failed and he purposely, we were told, allowed that SunBridge Newport facility to understaff and cause numerous deaths in retaliation. It is just horrible public policy. How many nursing home punitive damage cases have there been in the state? How horrible were the conditions that involved those cases. Maybe spend the time and effort on making sure those type of cases never happen again vs. making it a economically viable option.

Thank you for the comment. I agree with you. I think it would be of the utmost importance that any computer system utilized would not allow changes to be made. I believe that records are currently altered in the way you described and something needs to be implemented to prevent it. Thank you.

Thank you for the comment. I agree with you. I believe that some nursing homes and their staff falsify various information to the detriment of the patient. Hopefully, procedures will be implemented in the future to prevent this occurrence.
