A $6.5 Million wrongful death verdict was upheld by the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the death of a soldier. The man died during basic training at Fort Benning by accidental electrocution. The husband of a woman killed in a Lowe's parking lot by a hit-and-run driver has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her killer. Although the incident occurred in December, the driver was not charged until last month since investigators had to use store surveillance tape to identify the vehicle.
