About Council:

Council Wooten, Jr. was admitted to the Florida Bar in June, 1968 after obtaining his law degree from the University of Florida in December, 1967. Upon graduation, he began the practice of law with the firm that is today known as Wooten, Honeywell, Kimbrough, Gibson, Doherty and Normand, P.A. Since that time he has represented Plaintiffs in all types of personal injury litigation. He was first designated as a Board Certified Lawyer in Civil Trial Practice by National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1981, and in 1983 by the Florida Bar. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, serving as president of the Central Florida Chapter this past year. He has served as Chairman of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, director of the Florida Association for Justice and as a member of the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Section of The Florida Bar. He presently serves as the Chancellor of the Diocese of Central Florida of the Episcopal Church. He is a past Chairman of the Board and President of the Florida Citrus Sports Association, sponsor of the Capital One Bowl. He has served as a member of the Council of the Central Florida Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and is currently a Director of the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation.
