In addition to private practice, Nick has served as a mediator in workers' compensation cases. At the invitation of the local school board in the community where his family resides he was asked by the school board to serve as a member of The Citizens Finance Task Review Committee. Nick also was a member and board chairman of Community Human Services in Chicago, an organization that was dedicated to helping the underprivileged and their families reenter the workforce.
