Background
Mr. Whitehead was born in England and moved with his family to California in 1965. He graduated in 1985 from Westmont College in Santa Barbara with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. He graduated in 1988 from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was on the Dean’s List Honor Roll for three years. During law school Mr. Whitehead participated in the prestigious Nation Trial Competition where he was a national semi-finalist and Western United States Regional Champion.
Mr. Whitehead was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 1988 and began his career in Los Angeles at Loeb & Loeb, an international law firm. Mr. Whitehead has been practicing personal injury litigation in San Luis Obispo County since 1991. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Consumer Attorneys of California, the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, and is a past president of the Central Coast Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Whitehead is married and has three children. He has recently served as an Elder at Grace Bible Church in Arroyo Grande, and has been a board member for several local non-profit organizations dealing with disabled and abandoned children, including Rancho De Los Animales and Solid Rock Ranch.
