The driver of a tractor was killed and seventeen train passengers were injured last week when an eight-car Amtrak Surfliner carrying 150 passengers collided with the farm vehicle in Camarillo, California. Investigators say the driver of the tractor was killed instantly. Witnesses report that the tractor caught fire after being struck.

A Ventura County Fire Department spokesperson reported that twelve Amtrak passengers were treated for minor injuries and five were taken to a local hospital.
