Inspectors investigating a fire that killed 99 people at a Rhode Island nightclub discovered a document last week that suggests the bar's owners lied about the location's maximum capacity. Found in the rubble of The Station nightclub in West Warwick, the unsigned contract between the club's owners and the popular 80's rock band Great White listed the bar's capacity as 550 patrons for the February 20 concert.

According to town officials, however, the legal capacity for the nightclub was 404 people without furniture. Because a hand clicker that counted patrons melted in the fire, authorities have yet to determine the exact number of attendees.
