Ten former and current employees of a Chicago-based insurance company have filed suit against their employer claiming the company engages in widespread sexual harassment and discrimination. The employees allege that male managers and sales agents of the Combined Insurance Company of America verbally harassed female employees and on one occasion engaged in a gang rape. According to the lawsuit, the company lacks proper sexual harassment procedures and refuses to offer women the same opportunities as those given to male counterparts. The plaintiffs' attorneys hope to certify the lawsuit as a class-action.
