An explosion at a Kinston, North Carolina pharmaceutical plant Wednesday afternoon critically injured at least three people and may have killed several others, according to a police spokesperson. Eyewitnesses have reported that the blast occurred at around 1:30 p.m. at West Pharmaceutical Services Inc.'s medical plant. Three burn victims were taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital, although an official said more people were expected throughout the day. West manufactures medical devices and pharmaceutical delivery products at the facility, which employs over 200 people.
