Over 500,000 General Motors (GM) SUVs were recalled last week after engineers discovered brake and hazard light malfunctions in the vehicles. The recall affects owners of the 2000 and 2001 Chevy Blazer, GMC Jimmy and Oldsmobile Bravada. GM officials say the vehicles' brake lights and hazard lamps may not illuminate when engaged. Two reports of the light defects have been received by the automaker. Neither involved injuries. Owners will be notified by mail.
