What's the old saying about not wanting to know how sausage and laws are made?
Around 11:20 this morning with Rep. John Dingell ( D-MI) heading a House health care session on the rules of the upcoming vote, all decorum seems to be eroding.
“Heed the Gavel” Rep. Dingell is shouting as Republicans are object as Democrats voice their support for H.R. 3962.
"Parliamentary inquiry" interrupt the House members from Indiana and Texas as they speak over the Democrats addressing Mr. Dingell.
Chair is going to read the rule to the house again for the fourth or fifth time, says Dingell. “Representatives may be able to insert remarks, but should not embellish the request with extended oratory.”
Republicans are ask for a unanimous consent to speak outside the rules.
Dingell is concerned there might not be time to adequately address the House rules for the vote. Rep. Louise Slaughter ( D-NY) heads the rules committee.
“Parliamentary Inquiry” continue interruptions from Republicans.
Rep. Dingell appears to be losing his patience. Now Republicans are embelishing their objections to the bill as a "job killer" with Dingell chiding them to follow the rules. #
