Judicial Watch, a public interest group, released documents from the FDA that uncover 1,637 adverse reactions to Gardasil, a human papillomavirus vaccine to prevent cervical cancer in girls. Three deaths have been related to the vaccine. One patient died of a blood clot three hours after receiving the vaccine, and the two other patients died of heart problems and/or blood clotting.

The Gardasil reactions were reported to the FDA through the Vaccine Adverse Reporting System (VAERS). Out of all the adverse reactions, 371 reactions were considered very serious. Of pregnant women who were administered the vaccine, 18 out of 42 women experienced side effects ranging from fetal abnormalities to spontaneous abortion. 77% of the adverse reactions to Gardasil include normal side effects of the drug, such as pain, fever, nausea, dizziness and itching.

Judicial Watch President, Tom Flitton, thinks that any government that is trying to make the HPV vaccine mandatory for young girls should look at the adverse health reports. He states, “It looks as if an unproven vaccine with dangerous side effects is being pushed as a miracle drug.”
