Protestors Tie Dem Health Plan To Holocaust

It concerns me greatly to know that many of those elected to carry out an oath they took to protect and defend our Constitution which states one purpose of our democratic government is to provide for the general welfare of its citizens,not only cannot even recite from that wonderful document but seem hell bent on making us believe that the only purpose of our government is to enrich their personal portfolios. They have managed to make a lot of simple minded Americans think and act against their own best interests. How could seeminly sentient beings allow themselves to be manipulated into becoming screaming banshees ranting against anything Democrats put forward as evil, Nazi, Communist, or Socialist, when in reality most, if not all of President Obama's agenda will benefit them greatly. I think that the Republicans should stand with their heads hung in shame for behaving in the manner in which they have recently. There are always losers in elections. All it means is that everyone we send to Washington to represent us needs to remember that we just endured eight years of the most disasterous Republican Administration in our 200+ years. They need to start acting like adults and begin working within the system to make changes that benefit us not their pocketbooks. If enough of us let them know that they not only don't look or act like grown ups but just downright foolish, perhaps they would stop paying attention to the likes of Limbaugh, Beck or Dobbs and start acting like the statesmen they're supposed to be. If they don't begin helping to govern our country we may not have a country very much longer and that nightmare will be laid exactly where it belongs...at the Republicans'feet. Remember...2 illegal wars we were lied into, a recession that is seeing their constituents losing homes and living in tent cities, losing jobs, deregulation that caused the outsourcing of millions of American jobs, lack of funding for a delapidated infrastructure, people dying for lack of healthcare, stagnant wages for those still with jobs, and the rise of corporate rights over those of individual citizens are just a few of the accomplishments of the Republican party and the sooner people are made to remember these the sooner the Republicans might...might start behaving as if their jobs are a privilige not a right. That's what they think. They think it's their right to rule but it is really a privilige to serve. It's the differnce between ruling and governing that causes them problems because they don't understand the differnce. For now we are seeing a bunch of fools resorting to the lowest and most demeaning rhetoric to score political President and they are willing to take the government and the country down with them just to be able to say "We told you so" These are people who don't deserve to hold the positions they do. Everything they do is in their own interests and they have fooled enough people into thinking those interests are the same as ours. FOOLS AND LIARS.

Regarding this healthcare legislation, we need to pass this bill. Republicans cry that they have not been included in the deliberations. But they chose not to be involved by not being there during the markup procedure. And let us not forget how Tom Delay and his gang of legislative bullies had the Democrats physically removed from the sessions discussing the medicare payment legislation in 2003. The Just say no party broke all of the Senate and house rules by breaking off discussion. It was passed but the cost was no where near the 400 billion they claimed it would cost. They have their medical and retirement plans so they don't care if the average citizen has a job, a house and medical coverage. Yeah, let's lie the country into 2 wars, give more money to the rich and empower the banks to rip off Americans. That's the Republican view of governing. We are not even a democracy.... No we are a plutocracy meaning a government by - for - the lobbyists, bankers, generals, ceo's insurance companies and Wall Street. The Republican health plan only reaches maybe 12,000,000 more Americans adding very little benefits. It is time to end both wars and use that money for healthcare and to campaign against the terrorist Republicans.

As a patriotic (and) progressive American Jew, I am just as offended and outraged by the casual, insensitive, and ignorant use of the Holocaust by these thoughtless buffoons, including my Congresswoman, as I am by those who use the Holocaust to justify anything the current Israeli government does.

I may not know too much about this bill's inner reaches, but as far as English language is concerned, doesn't the word 'principle' refer to moral judgments and doesn't 'principals' refer to money?Duh!!It's the English teacher in me. Sorry.
