Authorities are investigating a parasailing accident in the Florida Panhandle that left two people injured. Witnesses said winds were picking up in the area when the couple's parachute separated from the boat, sending the pair crashing into the water. The victims were treated and released from a local hospital. The Coast Guard is investigating the accident.

A witness in the area said it looked as if the towline connecting the parasailers to the boat broke. However, the boat's operator said he cut the line because high winds were putting the couple in danger.

This latest accident happened just weeks after a broken harness killed a woman and her daughter parasailing in Fort Myers Beach. In that tragic accident a harness broke, sending the mother-daughter pair plummeting 250 feet into shallow water.

Currently, no agency regulates the parasailing industry.
