Crittenden County Kentucky Tractor Trailer Truck Accident Injures One

There was an Accident in Crittenden County Kentucky on Thursday that left a young man injured. He was thrown from his car when he was hit by a Semi Tractor Trailer Truck. The truck happened to be a Tanker Truck.

The Kentucky Accident happened around Fredonia and Mott City on US 641. Reports said that the Tanker may have been leaking fuel. There is no word on the young mans condition.

Dennis Quaid Testified Before Congress Regarding Injury to His Twins

Yesterday, Dennis Quaid testified before Congress regarding the injuries his twins suffered due to the negligence of a prescription drug manufacturer. You can watch the video on our website, www.gminjurylaw.com.

In November, Quaid's 12-day-old twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were undergoing intravenous antibiotic treatment for a staph infection at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital. According to standard procedure, nurses were supposed to clean the infants' IV lines with Hep-Lock, a drug containing a very small dose of the blood thinner heparin, to allow the lines to flow freely.

However, instead of the 10 units of heparin they were supposed to receive, the twins received 10,000 units, 1,000 times the prescribed amount. The babies survived, apparently with no permanent injury, Quaid told members of Congress, although no one knows whether they will show any long-term effects.

The actor grew emotional as he recalled a 41-hour ordeal in which his infants' blood was the consistency of water and their bodies bore bruises from internal bleeding.

"It made me feel that they had survived for a reason ... that maybe they were going to change the world in a little way," he said.

In researching the incident, Quaid told lawmakers he found that the bottles of 10-unit Hep-Lock and 10,000-unit heparin were "virtually indistinguishable." Both drugs are manufactured by Baxter Healthcare.

Interstate 64 Tractor Trailer Accident Kills Bath County Resident Kenneth McKenzie

A tragic accident in Bath County happened early Tuesday Morning. As the Police were clearing the scene of a Car Wreck, a Semi Tractor Trailer Truck struck the rear end of a passenger car, killing Kenneth McKenzie of Bath County.

Bath County Kentucky Semi Tractor Trailer Truck Wreck on Interstate 64 Takes the Life of Kenneth Mckenzie

This tragic Kentucky Semi Tractor Trailer Wreck happend in Bath County early Tuesday Morning. Police were on the scene attmepting to clear up a first small wreck. Click on the link to get the video reports of this Kentucky Accident. The wreck took place on Interstate 64.

As the Police were clearing up the first wreck around 4:30 a.m., a Semi Truck rear ended a passnger car. The car was occupied by Kenneth McKenzie, 49, of Bath County. The impact of the crash flipped the Semi Truck on its side. The impact took the life of Kenneth McKenzie.

The whole crash scene was under fog at the time of the Multiple Vehicle Car Wrecks. The family of McKenzie will likely have Kentucky Wrongful Death Claim against the Driver and the Semi-Truck Company. However, the investigation is ongoing.

Semi Tractor Trailer Trucks are governed under Federal Regulations called the FMCSR or Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. It is unclear at this time whether the Semi Truck was in violation of these Regulations.

Tanya Clark Dies of Head Trauma After Pulaski County Kentucky Crash

Tany Clark, 32, from Indiana, died at the UK Chandler Medical Center on Tuesday from Head Injuries that she suffered in a massive Pulaski County Kentucky Car Wreck.

Clark had stopped as the car in front of her was going to turn. As she stopped a car came from behind her hitting her in the rear end where she was forced into the other lane. She was then t-boned by a SUV.

Clark was one of several that were airlifted to UK to the Chadler Medical Center. Clark's family will likley have a Civil Claim for Kentucky Wrongful Death under this set of facts against the car that hit her in the rear.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Clark Family.

Kentucky Drunk Driving Crash 20 Years Ago

Today marked the 20th Anniversary of the Kentucky Drunk Driving School Bus Accident on Interstate 71 in Carrollton.

Click on the above link for a News Article and a Video. The School Bus caught on fire and the children struggled to get out. 27 lost their lives in what has been known as the Worst Drunk Driving Accident in U.S. History.

The School kids were on their way back from a School Field Trip to Kings Island in Cinncinnati when they were hit by drunk driver traveling on the wrong side of Interstate 75.

Today is The Twenty Year Anniversary of Kentucky Drunk Driving Accident

Today marks the 20 year anniversary of the Carrollton Bus Crash in Kentucky. This Accident was the Deadliest Drunk Driving Accident in Kentucky or the Nations History.

A pickup truck was going the wrong way on Interstate 71 when it collided with a Church Owned School Bus. The bus was bringing School Children home from a Field Trip.

Larry Mahoney who was the Defendant in this Kentucky Drunk Driving Accident served 9 and 1/2 years in prison for the injuries and deaths that he caused. He has refused all interviews.

The Fuel Tank on the Bus ruptured and caught fire. As a result there were 27 Wrongful Deaths from this wreck. That is the deadliest on record, even 20 years later.

Illinois Train Accident Ends With Death of a Man in a Wheelchair

An Illinois Train Accident ended in tragedy on Tuesday in Carbondale. The man was in a wheelchair when he was attempting to cross the Railroad Tracks.

Authorities say that the man attempted to cross on the side of the tracks where there was no crossing bars. However, authorities did not release his name.

This Illinois Railroad Accident ended with the death of the man in the wheelchair. We will update this story as we get further information.
