Sporanox, also known as itraconazole, is an
anti-fungal drug manufactured by Janssen Pharmaceutica Products. In May 2001 Janssen and the FDA issued a press release warning doctors not to prescribe Sporanox for fungal nail infections in patients who suffer from
heart failure. The drug has a tendency to weaken the force of heart contractions. In addition, the FDA informed
doctors of several instances of
liver failure in patients taking Sporanox. At least a dozen people have died after taking Sporanox. You should see your doctor if you have concerns about the safety of Sporanox.
If you have experienced adverse side effects associated with Sporanox it may be important to
contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be
time limits within which you must commence suit.
